The interrogation had only just begun, and already, it was clear that the line between truth and lies would be harder to draw than anyone had anticipated.

"Listen, Raj," Sharma finally spoke, "the truth will come out. It's just a matter of time. And if you're telling the truth, then I'm sure we'll find a way to clear your name. But you need to cooperate fully." Raj's eyes widened

The dimly lit room had seen its fair share of confessions and denials. On one side, a stern-looking Inspector Sharma; on the other, a shifty-eyed young man, accused of a crime he claimed not to have committed.

Inspector Sharma's expression remained unreadable. He had heard it all before. But there was something about Raj's desperation that seemed genuine.
